Rails updateattributes not updating timestamp is francia raisa still dating shane sparks

Notice that when :datetime or :timestamp is used, it becomes a timestamp in the database.

The TIMESTAMP data type has a range of '1970-01-01 ' UTC to '2038-01-09 ' UTC.

The latter one is set to the current time when a dataset is created and the first one is set to the current time when a dataset gets updated.

For a work project I had to update some values (a lock field for example) w/o updating these magic columns.

For example, the Postgres adapter defines: class Active Record:: Connection Adapters:: Postgre SQLAdapter # in order to add or change the datatypes, this function # must be overriden. # That carries with it the warning that if Rails Core changes # this function, this override will do away with those changes!

def native_database_types end end This is actually my version to add support for bigints that I needed in a project.
